Most people who know Julian were aware that he was a keen runner. Julian was a regular attendee of the "Kingfield Canter" - a small monthly running meet featuring a 3 mile / 5 km course around the Kingfield area. Julian ran his first Woking 3 road race on 1st February 2000.
Julian completed 110 of these events over the course of his retirement, the equivalent of almost 10 years worth of runs!
Julian's sons will therefore be taking part in this final run on his behalf.
Simon (the eldest) will be walking the course and any / all who feel they aren't able to run the distance are invited to completed it with him.
Matthew (the youngest) will be running the course and anyone who fancies a slightly faster pace is very welcome to complete it with him.
Margaret (Julian's wife) and Caitlyn & Chloe (Julian's grandchildren) will be at the finish line collecting donations for the SECAMB (South East Coast Ambulance Service) to whom we owe so much.
We hope to see as many people there as possible!
Start time is 12:30 from Woking Leisure Centre, Woking Park, Kingfield Road, Woking GU22 9BA. Please arrive 30 minutes before hand for registration and set up.
